Meet Frank
Hi, I’m Frank, owner of Frank’s Place.
I’m the classic product of one that was raised into fine Italian roots, only to pursue a corporate agenda elsewhere. That’s a 20 year story not worth telling at the moment, but I’ll skip to the part where my wife convinced me to follow my heart and return to the hospitality industry (which anyone that has been to one of my backyard summer parties of over 150+ guests in the last 20 years can attest is where I truly belong).
Seeing people around me being happy and satisfied with their belly puts the biggest smile on my face. And now, here we are with Frank’s Place, where I get to do that every single day.
Inspired By History
Frank’s Place is inspired by keeping the tradition of 60 plus years of family history in the hospitality industry alive.
These roots originated with my grandparents, where my nonno would have his friends gather to engage in “tiro al piattello” tournaments as my nonna prepared simple meals for them. This blossomed into a small trattoria (a trattoria is an Italian-style eating establishment that is generally less formal than a ristorante, but more formal than an osteria) where my nonna and zio Achille did the cooking, and my nonno and zio Aldo took care of the front of house.
My mother and nonna always made cooking and preparing food look easy. My mother had (and still has) this incredible ability to prepare a meal for 10-15 people in minutes. You see, our house has always been a meeting spot. For as long as I could remember, my parents’ front door has always been a revolving door. It is very rare to be at my parents’ place and they are not hosting guests. It seems like there is ALWAYS someone there visiting or just dropping in. The espresso machine is always on the stove at Casa Stornelli. My mother NEVER hesitates to quickly prepare “something”. Her classic line of “i cu ce vò a prepara’ quaccóse” is a line I’ve heard my entire life, which in our Abbruzzesse dialect loosely translates to “what does it take to prepare something?“
At Frank’s Place, I get the chance to continue their tradition, by hosting you and your family. If you’ve made it this far, I thank you, and I invite you to taste the passion over 60 years in the making.

My goal at Frank’s Place has been driven by my roots – to have a environment that is very inviting and comfortable. I aim to create the same feel I have when I am sitting at my parents’ kitchen table and the house is full of people. Our dishes are simple and tasty, just the way my mother has been preparing for her guests for many years. Nothing is complicated. Just great, home cooked meals with simple ingredients, and an immense amount of passion put into everything prepared.
And as always, espresso is on me.

This place is a GEM!! I stumbled upon this place via social media … read all the reviews and added this place on my “go to” list. Shortly thereafter my friend suggested we go out for breakfast (COVID has kept us from dining out for way to long) and we came here. The service was amazing, quick and friendly and our meal was hot and delicious !! Will definitely be coming back and bringing more friends along as we are always looking for a gathering place with great food!

Frank’s Place feels like I am sitting in your kitchen. It feels like home. Great food, something to drink and surrounded by friends. It’s the type of place you drop in just to say hi. And like family the first question you ask everyone that walks through your door…’Did you eat?’ It’s what Frank does. Love this place.
A Place for my Family
Love the environment and friendship. Food is fantastic. My family loves going there, even my 7 year old asks when can we go back. I have have brought friends and family and they have passed on the word because they enjoy it. Great job Frank keep it up!

It means taking great pleasure in watching someone loving what they do because they WANT to; not because they HAVE to! It means one more connection to our Celano. It means my immediate go to when I am in Woodbridge and finally…it means the best damn chicken souvlaki anywhere!!!
